How can I let you go?
You torment me relentlessly
Unfathomable darkness
Sending shivers
Through my already trembling body
As I lie with you
Alone in this dark room

From nothingness
I created you
Yet, you torture me
Force me to watch
As you take new shapes

I lifted you up out of oblivion
And fed you

I watched you grow
With wide frightened eyes
Held your hand

All the while
It was I that was shaping you
That conjured you up
From the desolate depths
Of my weary mind
Fabricating your very existence
Then cowering under the blankets
